Can we tour the site ahead of time?

When is the best time for events at Shankhassick Farm?

Events are best suited for the months of May to October, but we may be able to accommodate other dates. Please inquire.. Please subject to

​How long is the rental period?

Typically 12 hours but it depends on the event and package you chose

How many people can we invite?

The maximum number of guests is 250.

​

Are tents permitted?

Yes, tents are allowed in designated areas. If it takes more than the standard set-up time (4-8 hrs), there will be an additional $200 daily impact fee.  Please reference the vendor page for their contact info.

Is there back up power?

No. Power needs should be discussed during planning.

Are there guest accommodations?

The closest hotels are Three Chimneys Inn or Holiday Inn Express which is less than a mile away.

What vendors are we responsible for?

You are responsible for securing a photographer, videographer, band or disk jockey, florist, caterer, baker, and officiant. Please see our vendor page for recommendations.

Can we cook on open flames or have fire pits?

We do not allow open flames or fire pits. Cookers must be contained and located in a designated area near the kitchen access door.

Can we spray for mosquitoes?

You may use an all-organic spray. Treatment is at your own expense.

​

Is the property on the waterfront?

The property is nestled against the banks of the Oyster River, however,  guests are not permitted on the dock or the float.  River  access is your own risk.

Is alcohol permitted?

Yes. A licensed State of New Hampshire bartender or catering company must carry proof of their liquor license. Otherwise you must obtain Host Liquor Liability Insurance for the duration of your event.

How do we reserve a date?

A contract will be sent to you for signatures. A refundable security deposit and portion of the rental fee is due when remitting your contract. The remaining fees are due 60 days prior to your event.

Are there any other restrictions I might need to know in advance?

Smoking is permitted in designated areas only.  No pets. No candles, sparklers, fireworks, or floating sky lanterns. Please call if you are unsure whether something you are planning is appropriate for our site.
